FAQs
How long is a session?
A headshot session generally lasts around an hour and a half. I may have other clients in before/after you, so it’s important we keep to the time slot to make sure we have maximum time to make the best images we can without rushing.
What should I wear for my headshots?
Generally speaking, solid colours work best - simple, basic, classic, traditional styles. It’s best to avoid prints, patterns and florals; the focus should be you, so nothing too busy or distracting (and don’t forget to iron those creases!)
No jewellery (unless you feel it’s absolutely essential to your look). Wear a strapless bra/tube top for shoulder shots.
Portraits are generally a little more relaxed and more about you presenting your personality, we can discuss the look and location you have in mind and we can take it from there.
How should I do my makeup?
Subtle and low-key is generally the best approach, nothing distracting or too stylised.
Spots and blemishes are easy to get rid of in retouching, don’t worry.
Should I shave before the shoot?
Wear your facial hair in a way you feel best presents you, or that fits the kind of casting you want to go for.
Can I bring a friend?
It’s best to work together with as few distractions as possible, but if you’d feel more comfortable bringing someone you know, by all means bring them along (there’s a good chance I'll rope them into assisting!)
How do I get my photos?
After the shoot, I’ll send you a link to proof copies of the shots we captured together. From there you can select the ones you want. Once they’re edited, I’ll send you a link where you can download them (the link expires in 7 days and needs to be downloaded to a computer, it won’t work on a smartphone or tablet).
When will I receive my photos?
Depending on the number of images and specific requirements, turnaround is generally within 10 days.
